Leonardo David de Moura, better known as Léo Gago (Campinas, February 17, 1983), is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder. He is currently defending Grêmio.

Career

Léo Gago began his career in the youth of the Independente, shortly after joining the team in the same city Inter de Limeira.

Lapped by some teams in the Brazil, but it was in Brazilian Championship in 2009 that stood out for playing Avai Futebol Clube, where he distinguished himself with powerful kicks noting 6 goals in 31 games. Besides having made memorable matches and being considered one of the revelations of the tournament, he was one of the major players in the great campaign of Avaí.

Later that year he was hired by Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama for the 2010 season.

In August 2010, with few chances in the team after the arrival of coach PC Gusmão, Leo Gago was loaned to Coritiba.
